Devon has been a dramaturg since her sophomore year of college, and their work has been regionally and nationally recognized as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
What is dramaturgy? Dramaturgy wears many hats, but at its core, dramaturgy is the exploration and understanding of the world of the play based on both the play itself and the way in which it engages with the world we live in.
Theatre should be accessible to all - exploring the world of the play and contextualizing it to help everyone understand it regardless of what previous knowledge they bring to the table is what excites Devon most as a dramaturg.
